If you are at any stage of pregnancy, congratulations! However we do not recommend you ride on the jet boat and in fact prohibit it.

Yep…. It’s all part of the fun!? The level depends on the sea and weather conditions on the day. We provide optional stylish black ponchos to keep you protected. Sunglasses are recommended to protect your eyes.

Unfortunately, we do not have storage on site or on the jet, please leave all your valuables in your car or accommodation before coming to the wharf.

It is important that you have both hands free to hold the safety rails on the jet.
Phones are permitted for those all important selfies but for safety reasons you can only take photos when we are stopped. There will be photo opportunities at Cooks Beach Blowhole and Cathedral Cove.

As the weather changes so much in New Zealand we recommend that you dress for the conditions on the day. With the speed comes wind chill, especially in the cooler months – extras layers, gloves and a wooly hat are advised if you can feel a nip in the air. Waterproof ponchos are available if desired.
If you're keen to get wet on a warm summers day feel free to wear whatever you're comfortable in and maybe bring a change of clothes to leave in your car.

Please let us know if you have any breaks or fractures as this will potentially affect your ability to ride on the jet boat. Back or neck problems must be brought to our attention prior to booking, feel free to call through to our friendly team to discuss whether the conditions on the day and the ride will be suitable for you. The best person to ask however, is your own doctor. If you are pregnant you will be not permitted to ride on the jet boat.

The jet departs from Whitianga Wharf, Esplanade Rd, Whitianga.
Please arrive 20 minutes prior to departure and leave all your valuables in the car.

Cathedral Cove Jet reserves the right to cancel or amend any departures due to sea/weather conditions, or minimum numbers not reached. If we cancel a departure, you will not be charged.
Cancellations made by the client less than 24 hours prior to departure will incur the full charge.
We have scheduled times throughout the day, and we must leave at the set departure time. If you miss your departure and cannot change to another departure time, there will be no refund. If you are running late or you are not going to make the departure time, please give us a call ASAP so we can try and make another plan, please bear in mind that we do have a cancellation policy which may apply in this instance.

Cathedral Cove Jet will pick you up in Whitianga and take you call the way to Cathedral Cove however we will not be able to drop you off at the beach there. We do get you super close though enough to be able to see right through to the other side of the Cove, so bring your camera in a zip lock or dry bag and grab that selfie!

It is a good idea to book your tickets, this will save time on arrival and you will secure the time slot that works best for you. We ask that you turn up to the departure point at least 20 minutes prior to departure. If you have any queries, please call 0225248119 and our friendly booking team can assist.

I’m sorry due to safety reasons we only depart from Whitianga Wharf. If you are coming across on the Ferry, please allow 30 minutes prior to your departure time.
